VivoMedica seeks delisting from AIM in the best interests of shareholders

CDI and VivoMedica present first human data
At the recent international conference of the Safety Pharmacology Society held in Madison WI USA, VivoMedica jointly with Cellular Dynamics International (CDI) presented data generated using human cardiomyocytes derived from CDI's human Stem Cells; the data was analysed using VivoMedica's DrugPrint® system. This research shows the potential of this combined system and demonstrates a viable human model for cardiotoxicity screening in drug research.

DrugPrint® could cut the cost of preclinical research
VivoMedica's DrugPrint® is set to make significant impact on the cost and effectiveness of preclinical cardiotoxicity testing. In a recent article, Tina Tan of the industry publication Clinica interviewed Peter Leyland, CEO of VivoMedica, and discovered how DrugPrint® could reduce drug casualties and reduce the cost of preclinical research in the pharmaceutical industry.
VivoMedica and Cellartis to collaborate on DrugPrint®
June 2008 - VivoMedica and Cellartis have recently concluded discussions and signed a non-exclusive agreement to collaborate to develop the application of VivoMedica's DrugPrint® preclinical cardiotoxicity profiling system with Cellartis' stem cell technologies. The need to gain earlier knowledge of the potential cardiotoxic side effects of new drug candidates is an increasingly urgent imperative due to regulatory and commercial pressures. There is also a growing need to reduce animal testing in drug research, and to develop models that are predictive of the likely response in humans. By combining the high value outputs of DrugPrint® with human cardiac cells, the potential of a human ex-vivo model for cardiotoxicity profiling is nearing reality.
